Anxiety Counseling

“Do I Have An Anxiety Disorder?”

Many of us experience some anxious feelings when around certain situations, places and people. Anxiety can serve a positive purpose when it is acknowledged and managed effectively. For example, feeling anxious because we have a deadline to meet can motivate us to move faster and manage our time better the next time.

Anxiety Symptoms

When we become nervous, worried, preoccupied and stuck on certain thoughts, we may be experiencing anxiety. When we are overly anxious, we may experience physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, sweating and irritability. We may also have problems sleeping, which can negatively influence our mood.  Our relationships, work performance, social situations and even fun activities can be negatively impacted. When worry, fear and anxiety elevate to feelings of panic that are not addressed, a panic attack can begin. It is very important to know how to manage the escalation of anxiety before this point!

Does Counseling for Anxiety Help?
