Counseling for Couples
Alex uses Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), the most successful couple therapy model supported by numerous research studies. These studies find that “70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.” (Source)
Experiencing this therapy model, you will not simply learn how to fight better. Together we will get to the root of the perpetuating issues that keep you and your partner feeling stuck and at a distance. Through a specific framework that has worked for thousands of other couples, you will learn to connect and understand each other more deeply.
Dr. Sue Johnson, the developer of EFT, has tirelessly fashioned this model to help couples shift from a place of pain and distance to a secure, loving connection. And extensive studies have substantiated Sue’s amazing work!
MRI studies as recent as 2013 continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of individuals feeling calm and peace in the face of fear when they are safely connected to their partners. See the brief video of “Soothing the Threatened Brain.”
Join thousands of other couples who are experiencing real and lasting change in their most relationship on earth! It is time to get and stay connected!
In therapy and counseling, a “clinical hour” represents a 50-minute session. With the special dynamic that couples bring into the counseling room, 50 minutes can pass by quite fast. Many couples find that a slightly longer session can provide maximum benefit for their couples counseling experience, especially those traveling from a distance. Contact me about availability and pricing for longer prorated sessions up to three hours.
