Clear communication is vital to exist in a good relationship with anyone! In your marriage, family, workplace and with teachers, friends, neighbors, and everyone with whom you come into contact. We were taught to not talk to strangers when we were young. But how should we talk to the people who matter most to us?
When good communication is happening, both parties are happy. They feel heard, understood, valued and satisfied in their relationship. Could your interactions with others benefit from a focused look and application of essential communication skills?
This Communication 101 (Essentials) class will help participants:
- Intently listen for deeper meaning to the speaker
- Gain deeper understanding of yourself and others
- Identify the power of your tone and nonverbal communication
- Recognize safe people and build and enforce healthy boundaries with others
- Learn about primary emotions imbedded underneath surface emotions and behavioral actions
- Enjoy deeper, more meaningful relationships!
Who should attend?
This class is appropriate for individuals and couples ages 12-99. The only requirement is to know at least one other human being with whom you desire to talk differently and can practice a new approach. Participants will learn and practice how to understand and engage in deeper interpersonal communication to develop more satisfying relationships with friends, family members, coworkers, supervisors, teachers, neighbors, and others.
